The Grass Petrol Strimmer Head has been a real workhorse in my garden toolkit. It fits without any issues, which is always a relief, but keep in mind it doesn’t come with nuts or adaptors—you’ll need to sort that yourself.They claim it’s indestructible, but let’s be honest—it’s not. That said, it’s definitely tough enough to handle a season’s worth of battling overgrown gardens, concrete paths, and stubborn edges. The wire starts wears down and splay with contact to harder edges like concrete borders but it’s less hassle than dealing with a metal blade, which I really appreciate. Just be careful when handling it; the sharp, prickly design means gloves are an absolute must.For me, it’s good value for the price and perfect for tackling the heavier-duty jobs in my garden. It might not be flawless, but it’s a solid choice for anyone looking to keep their outdoor spaces under control. I just wish they didn't use the term 'Indestructible'.

A really tough piece for dealing with those stubborn weeds and thick grassy patches that withstand the puny strimmer plastic blades or thin lines that snap so easily. Hitting hard objects will eventually wear this down but it is so much more robust that the alternatives. Needs to be handled with care as the neatly twisted and knotted strands are soon splayed making it a must to always wear thick cut resistant gloves. At £9 it's not cheap but then weighed against the cost of the plastic/nylon alternative it may be considered cost effective. [45763]

I have experienced several problems with this wire brush strimmer head. The first is that for my Stihl FS240 the overall diameter of the head really ought to be bigger. The optimum rotation speed is determined by diameter of the cutting head. Thus, as a nylon line wears away it gets shorter, the disc diameter decreases, the engine revs more quickly. I have a bump line feeder and the change in engine note tells me it is time to bump out more line. Without adjusting the carburettor the diameter of this wire brush head allows the motor to rev excessively.My second problem is this disc is great for cutting through brambles, or cleaning the cracks from a paved area. It is useless for grass cutting unless you are a great deal more careful than I am. Every so often, when cutting some rough lawn. this is before attempting to use my lawn mower, I would catch the ground and rip out a divot. I can't recommend it for grass.My final observation is that unless, like me, a purchaser has an assortment of washers and nuts so they can fit this wire brush to their strimmer, they will be faced with additional expense.
