It does what it says, I ordered it to be able to use my home server from my bedroom using my 65 inch TV, and it has worked wonderfully for me, it is very useful to be able to use a mouse and keyboard on the RX side to control my server that is downstairs.Something to keep in mind. This KVM is a video extender that uses CAT6, so connecting it to a network switch or router to duplicate the video by IP will not work, do not try it!Also, the required cable is at least CAT6, but as the distance increases, a better cable will make a difference in the operation of the video and USBs, I have it with a CAT6E cable of about 150 feet and it works without any issues.Among the points to improve is the resolution, 1080P is a more than sufficient resolution for multiple tasks at home or in the office, but if you want to install it in a bar, restaurant or cafeteria would be better a higher resolution even if I lost a little transmission distance.Otherwise, as long as you properly connect the power to the RX and the cable is the right one, it works like a charm!

Using this in a semi-permanent installation with installed cat5 cable. No problems with display/source negotiation - display comes up quickly and there's no time spent trying to figure out if there are cable issues or issues with this - this has worked quickly every time with a good cable, so I can spend troubleshooting time elsewhere.More importantly I can install it and know that if someone else fiddles with the system I don't have to spend time troubleshooting this.Only using it for 1080p. No issues with latency.

I ended up getting a 4K@60Hz / 1080P@120Hz unit insteadThis unit was limited in what was supported over USBIt worked well... I just had higher needs due to gaming

I ran a CAT7 shielded cable from my garage out to my shed. In the shed I have a Hikvision NVR video camera security system and it's always a pain to go out there and work on it with a tiny HDMI monitor and awkward mouse (no flat space really).This allowed me to connect that system in the shed to my HDMI KVM in my garage as another input. It works great and was easy to do. Note that the power connector is just attached to the receiver unit, and the transmitter gets its power from the network cable.It includes the USB A to USB A cable to attach the transmitter to your device, and I used a regular HDMI cable to get the video connected to the box from the NVR.
