Pupitre très solide, un peu lourd du coup mais il s'agit d'un produit très élégant notamment pour un éventuel concert

Exactly what we wanted. A traditional-looking music stand that would look well in our drawing room. Most important of all it needed to hold music scores of various sizes for our tall trombone-playing son who is playing at an advanced level. Folding metal stands are not tall enough and don't hold thick volumes easily. Very satisfied with this stand. The beech finish is acceptable; it obviously isn't an antique but I don't think you can expect that for this price. Easy to put together. Height adjustable for sitting or standing.

The look and quality of the music stand seemed lovely when I got it out of the box. However, when I attempted to assemble it, there was a different story. Firstly, two out of the three threaded bolts to attach the feet sheered off at the head when I started to screw them in. Then it turned out that the holes had not been drilled at the correct angle, so it was impossible for the threaded bolt heads to engage with the connecting screws. Result: it was impossible to attach the feet to the stand. I have assembled many pieces of furniture in the past and so consider myself adequately experienced in this sort of job. I tried to get the various parts to align properly and lock together for about 2 hours in total. In the end I had to simply give up and put everything back in the box. The stand is being returned. At this price, I would expect all holes to be drilled with accurate alignment, and for all bolts to be of appropriate metal quality. What a let down! Such a shame that this beautiful piece of woodwork should be spoiled by shoddy details.I could not risk getting a second stand from this manufacturer, so have gone with another make instead.
