The switch works great however you need to know that it has a delay built in. The technical term for this is hysteresis. The switch waits for a minute before reacting. So in other words you have to cover up the sensor for at least a minute before the light will come on and similarly, if it's on and you uncover the sensor then there will be at least a minutes delay before it turns off. It works like this to stop it flickering on and off every time someone walks past and casts a shadow.I've attached a circuit diagram because the one on the label on the side of the switch is slightly difficult to understand. I suspect that the people who have had a problem with this may have connected it up wrongly and fried it internally.I've used one on two outside lights that I like the look of and don't want to replace and they are both working flawlessly. I am very pleased with these.

Na enkele dagen uitstekend werken, is de sensor ontploft. Was de 3e die er mee stopte, maar deze dus met een knal. Wil en durf er geen meer te plaatsen, zoek andere oplossing.

Het buitenlicht bij m'n voordeur moest altijd met de hand aan en uit gezet worden, met de schemer schakelaar wordt dit niet meer vergeten, het is klein genoeg en eenvoudig in te bouwen en schakelt bij schemer de lamp in en met het ochtend gloren weer uit. Helaas is het apparaat na 5 maanden uitgevallen, had er meer van verwacht.
