Lately, I have been turning to colouring as a way to unwind, and these pads caught my eye, so I ordered them. At first glance, they seemed promising: lightweight, sturdy, and easy to handle.The paper has a lovely smooth texture, just a touch thicker than standard printer paper. It reminds me of what you would find in a good notebook—nice to write on, but not made for heavy media.Coloured pencils performed beautifully—smooth application, no drag, and rich layering. Gel pens and ballpoints also worked well, with no bleeding.But once I brought out fineliners and markers, things changed. Even light layering led to bleeding and feathering. Alcohol markers bled straight through and warped the page. So if you plan to use anything heavier than a gel pen, this pad may not be the best fit.It is a shame, because some of the designs deserve the kind of flair only bold inks or paint can offer. I found myself wishing the paper had just a bit more heft.That said, the designs are lovely—varied, with a nice mix of intricate patterns and more open layouts. Some days I want a challenge, other days I just want to colour without thinking too much. These pads suit both moods nicely.The spiral binding allows to lay pages flat, flip all the way around, and make it easy to tear out pages if you want to display your work.In the end, I would recommend these pads for anyone who enjoys colouring with pencils, pens, or other dry media. They are comfortable to use, full of engaging artwork, and perfect for a relaxed evening with a cup of tea and your favourite pencils. I just wish the paper lived up to the quality of the designs because with a bit more weight, these pages could be frame-worthy.

The pictures in these adult colouring books are paint by numbers quality. There are some pretty small cells, so I have to concentrate on which part of the picture each cell belongs to. There's a good selection of pictures to choose from when you take all three books into account. Considering the hours of mindful colouring I'm getting from each picture, I think these are great value.

I bought it for my art group however the spaces to colour in between the lines are very small.Some of my group like them but most find them too fiddly.

Adult Colouring BooksThis is a good value set of colouring books. You get 3 books in the set, each one containing 20 pictures to colour so 60 in total. These are classed as ‘Hard’ level and they are certainly very intricate so will take some time to complete. The designs are lovely and the paper is good quality and at 120gsm you shouldn’t get any bleed through. These books are spiral bound at the top, this is good as you can keep each page flat as you work. The only thing that would improve them would be a fine perforation at the top to allow for easier removal but alas the don’t have that. They are still good though and excellent value for money when you think of the hours of enjoyment you will get from them.

I'm really disappointed with these colouring books. It does say 'Hard Difficulty for Advanced Colorists', and I would absolutely agree with that. But difficult doesn't have to mean uninspiring, which is how I felt about many of the pages in these books. The paper quality is fair enough, but I think £15.99 is a lot to pay for colouring books such as this.
