When this filter first arrived, I was worried that it wouldn’t fit on the tap. I have a bath/shower mixer tap where the shower hose is attached underneath next to the bath tap outlet.I checked before installing properly and the filter did fit, albeit it blocked the bath outlet a bit. Since I only really use the shower anyway, I don’t mind. You could install it on the shower head end, but I found that it made the shower head too heavy.The installation took minutes. The filter is supplied with one of the “cartridges” already installed and there’s a second cartridge in the box.The instructions are really simple.It says to run water through the filter before installing. I’m glad I did because a lot of black water came out (it says that’s the activated carbon). After about a minute, the black had gone and it hasn't happened since.Then wrap your tap with PTFE (Plumber’s) tape and screw the filter on. I didn’t realise they had supplied a roll of PTFE tape in the box, so I used my own. But I’m glad they had the foresight to consider that most people wouldn’t have any and included a roll.I attached the shower head and it worked with no leaks. The water pressure wasn’t significantly affected and there seems to be less limescale buildup. I live in a very hard water area, so the difference is noticeable.I have a shower head that has a filter built in and the refill cartridges are £40 and last for about 3 months (according to the manufacturer). These filters offer the same functionality and last for the same amount of time, but are only £8.50 each.Obviously, this filter is much more intrusive than having the filter integrated into the shower head directly, but they are much more economical. I think they are really good.

Its modern design looks good in my bathroom and it's 5GPM flow rate gives fairly strong water pressure.
